How the Wooden Pallet Industry Is Committed to Sustainability
Written by TC Pallet
Wood pallets are recycled at higher rates than any other form of packaging. They're a renewable resource produced from lumber that would otherwise go unused, and they have a remarkably low carbon footprint compared to alternatives.
Anti-Deforestation
Despite the assumption, pallet production doesn't drive deforestation. Pallets are made largely from leftover lumber generated by the furniture and building materials industries — material that would otherwise be discarded.
End-of-Life Reuse
When pallets reach the end of their useful life, the wood is processed into mulch, particleboard, animal bedding, and other products. Very little is wasted.
A Sustainable Choice
Choosing recycled wood pallets supports a circular system. It reduces demand for new lumber, keeps disposal costs down, and helps companies meet sustainability goals without adding complexity to their operations.
TCP has been part of this circle for decades. Call (330) 848-0313 to learn how recycled pallets fit your supply chain.
