Turning Wooden Pallets Into Mulch
Written by TC Pallet
Mulch is anything spread over soil to insulate and protect it. Ground-up wooden pallets make excellent mulch — and it's a use that keeps unrepairable pallets out of landfills.
How It Works
Recycled pallets are processed through a tub grinder, with powerful magnets pulling out nails and other metal. The result is clean wood mulch. At TCP, all of this happens on site so we can supply premium recycled mulch directly to landscapers.
Color Add-Ons
Once ground, mulch can be colored using iron-oxide water-based dyes. These dyes are all-natural and safe for pets and kids, and they hold color far better than mulches made from bark.
Why Pallet Mulch?
Pallet mulch retains moisture, suppresses weeds, and regulates soil temperature — all while keeping recycled wood in circulation. It's a win for landscapes and a win for sustainability.
